Original Queenslander Restoration Project

In December 2009 an orginal early 1900's Queenslander arrived on two trucks from Brisbane and the fun and games began. The enormous task ahead of us became apparent, not only was the restoration of the house to take place but the grounds needed to match the prestige of this heritage property and that meant rock walls, drainage, driveways, lawns and the removal of about 100 old tired macadamia trees to create a lush paddock with the lake as a backdrop. The project took a total of two years to complete and today Lake Terrace is open as luxury accommodation. Below, the photos and descriptions tell a brief story of how it all unfolded.
